Customers who have SNAP benefits may make qualified purchases at the Denton Community Market. The Market received a USDA grant in partnership with the City of Denton to enable lower income individuals to purchase fresh produce, agricultural products, and staple foods.

For STAPLE FOODS: Fruits and vegetables; breads and cereals; meat, fish, and poultry; and dairy products. Seeds and plants intended to grow food (herbs, vegetables, fruits, and nuts).

Please visit the Denton Community Market booth near the Farmer’s District entrance (near banner) to obtain DCM $1 wooden tokens (as many as you need for purchases) that can be used for qualified items: fresh produce, meat, eggs, jams, other canned goods, plants for growing food, and baked items are all qualified items for purchase. Ask for a list from Market staff.

Customers who have WIC benefits may make qualified purchases at the Denton Community Market. The Market received a USDA grant in partnership with the City of Denton to enable lower income individuals to purchase fresh produce and other agricultural products. 

For fresh fruits and vegetables, get a required shopping list from WIC office to receive voucher booklet. Seeds and plants intended to grow food (herbs, vegetables, fruits, and nuts).

Please visit the Denton Community Market booth near the Farmer's District entrance (near banner) to obtain a WIC FMNP Voucher booklet. Each Voucher booklet has 5 vouchers worth $6 each (total $30/voucher booklet) that can be used for qualified items (fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs). Farmers that accept WIC will display a blue FMNP Poster. Ask for a list from Market staff.
