Sonia is a resident of Denton since 2012, moving to attend the University of North Texas as a transfer student.

Sonia Graduated from UNT, upon graduation in 2015 she began her career with the Division of University Advancement at UNT. She is currently in the process of obtaining a graduate degree in Nonprofit and Leadership Studies and is excited to bring both her career skills and education to the DCM Board. Sonia Previously served in the Collective Council of Querencia- Bicycle Co-op and is currently serving in the BikeDenton Leadership council, as well as serving as a mentor in the Denton Women Cyclist group as they transition to formalize the organization and become non-profit.
